Reviewed in the oldest-PR triage sweep. This PR only adds inline comments and rewraps a couple of docstrings in an existing Google-Scholar web-scraping script — there's no algorithmic or functional change, and scraping scripts like this are inherently brittle (they break whenever the site's markup changes).

Given that, and to reach the goal of clearing PRs older than a year, my recommendation is to close this one unless the author wants to expand it into an actual self-contained algorithm. Deferring to @cclauss on the final call.
